Full-Time Sales Planner/Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to learn and understand the tasks and responsibilities necessary to coordinate all national advertising proposals as assigned.  This position is responsible for customer service support for our sales organization. He/She will communicate with multiple internal teams to ensure accuracy, has the ability to retain detailed information while working in a very fast paced environment; and maintain proper procedures to ensure efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Generate and calculate accurate proposals for multiple account directors supporting national, regional, and digital sales teams
Work closely with all members of the Sales Operations & Planning team, providing support, backup and assisting in special projects as assigned
Develop and maintain the highest level of communication with Senior Management and experienced sales team in preparation of relevant proposals
Provide background information and strategic solutions to assist Sales Team and Marketing with inventory and reporting inquiries to meet client requests
Providing detail and resources to internal teams as needed (media, trafficking, programming, accounting, revenue, exhibitor communications, marketing, etc.).
Contribute to Sales Planning team motivation and learning environment.
Organize projects; prioritize work and set reasonable timelines.
Follow internal processes to ensure accuracy of all proposals
Collaborate with team and managers on ideas that could help improve or create new processes.
Assist in special projects as assigned including IT development
Client communication as it pertains to questions regarding proposals

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of sales, advertising, marketing or related field industry a benefit.
College degree required and 1-3 years related business experience necessary. Knowledge of sales, advertising, marketing or related field industry a benefit.
Highly proficient to strong skills in Microsoft Excel/Access with proficiency in other MS Office applications.
Passionate attention to detail, and exceptional organizational skills.
Demonstrate high standards of quality and accuracy in preparing timely reports.
Strong analytical ability and aptitude for numbers and accountancy. Ability to work with large budgets and numbers as well as compute rates, ratio, percentages, fractions, media math, CPM calculations, decimals and pre-algebra.
Good communication (written and verbal) skills with all level of staff.
Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high stress, high volume environment and meet deadlines.
Must be self-starting, flexible, and be able to work independently within a team environment.
Must be highly trainable and willing to learn.
Self- motivating, assertive, and energetic team player attitude.
Ability to properly prioritize and multi-task in a high volume environment, with complete accuracy.
Ability to take initiative and be resourceful when problem-solving.
Ability to retain detailed information as it pertains to products, pricing, availability, guidelines, processes, personnel, and account management.
Ability to apply critical thought to issues and offers solutions.
Own their business and run day to day tasks with confidence.
Work independently and effectively and has some decision making responsibilities.

Experience and Training:

Any combination of the following experience and training (designated as required and/or preferred) that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

Experience:  1-3 years related business experience necessary.  Knowledge of sales, advertising, marketing or related field industry a benefit.

Education:  College degree preferred

Licensure / Certification:  None
