Full-Time Tenure-Track Faculty in Nurse Education: Simulation Laboratory Coordinator
Job Description
Elmira College is a private liberal arts College located in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Seeking innovative professionals from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds to fill the position of Assistant Professor of Nurse Education to join the open and welcoming Nursing Education team.
The program in Nursing invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position beginning Winter 2025. Applicants should have strong clinical background with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an acute care setting. While experience with simulation is preferred, no experience in simulation is required. Training will be provided for the qualified applicant selected for the position. The primary responsibility will be coordinating simulation experiences across the curriculum and teaching six credits of course or clinical each academic year. The candidate will also be required to maintain expertise with the associated technology through vendor provided training. Other responsibilities include professional and college service and scholarly activity, and coordinating clinical onboarding. Candidates must be licensed registered nurses eligible for unencumbered RN licensure in New York State and Pennsylvania, and be eligible for clinical duties at all local healthcare facilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Doctorate preferred, master’s degree in nursing with a strong clinical background required.
- Unencumbered license as a registered nurse in New York State
- Strong background in healthcare and educational technology.
- Strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate education.
WORK LOCATION: This position is not remote.
STATUS: Full-time, 10-month- no summer teaching required.
BASIS OF PAY: Salary, Exempt
