Job Description
The Oregon State Hospital, a division of the Oregon Health Authority, has a fantastic opportunity for a Training and Development Manager 1 to join an excellent team working to help people recover from their illness and return to their lives in the community.
What you will do!
This position provides leadership in the assessment, planning, development, implementation and evaluation of Training and Support department services by supervising 20 Staff Support Trainers and Coaches and ensures that the department is offering support to the staff at Oregon State Hospital in a Trauma Informed Approach. These staff are responsible for training staff across both campuses in Safe Together and Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS), the hospital’s identified behavioral emergency trainings. This position makes recommendations and executes strategic objectives and plans set forth by the senior leadership and is responsible for assisting with analyzing trends with regards to assaults and staff injuries and continuously improving the quality of the CPS and Safe Together trainings provided to staff. This position is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing management of employee engagement initiatives and projects across the hospital. This position proactively analyzes workforce trends and metrics related to staff exit interviews, employee engagement surveys, and staff engagement focus groups to develop action plans and increase overall employee engagement and retention and makes recommendations to the OSH Executive Leadership based on this data analysis and interpretation. This position is responsible for assisting the Director with the creation and monitoring of a budget for the department. This position assists with the creation and facilitation of program evaluation measures to determine the efficacy of the services provided related to staff engagement and support at the hospital utilizing Lean principles and methods. The Associate Director of the Training and Support Depart reports directly to the director of the Training and Support Dept.

What we are looking for:
Minimum qualifications
Five years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience.
OR
Two years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
