Your opportunity at a glance

The WSLCB Enforcement and Education Division is announcing an exciting opportunity for a Management Analyst 3 project position in Olympia, WAThis position is expected to last until the project is completed or funding is exhausted. It is expected to last to at least June 30th, 2025.

Under general direction, this position will provide competent qualified analyses to management, staff, and customers, including professional advice on potential impacts to the cannabis industry related to changes in the cannabis reporting and Traceability system. You will also facilitate community engagement planning and events; develop community engagement reflection reports, and partner with other divisional program staff as required.

Duties

Some of the duties you will perform are:

  • Provides general oversight and support for cannabis traceability community engagement events and meeting planning in partnership with the agency Communications team.
  • Assist with community engagement meeting-related deliverables.
  • Prepare materials and packets for outreach activities.
  • Evaluate the impacts of community engagement efforts and provide solutions and/or recommendations to the Division’s leadership.
  • Use standard communication and organizational change management techniques to facilitate the collection and analysis of community engagement information.
  • Assist management and project leadership in identifying and planning business process changes based on internal and external feedback for short- and long-term project goals.
  • Provides support to project advisory groups by planning meeting logistics and assisting with agenda creation.
  • Prepares community engagement reports for project tracking purposes, including analysis and evaluation.
  • Maintains an equity lens and works to improve the quality of and encourage participation in community engagement efforts.
  • Assist in the recruitment, orientation, and support of project advisory group members and the implementation of two-way communication protocols.
  • Collaborates with agency Communication team on community engagement communications, including website content, newsletters, and internal communications.
  • Performs analyses of community engagement activity outcomes and evaluates options, prepares project reports, summaries with narrative, statistical charts, tables, and graphs.
  • Advise management and project team on potential community and industry impacts of proposed changes to cannabis reporting and traceability.
  • Support and promote increased licensee partnership and engagement in the cannabis traceability project.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen stakeholder partnerships.

 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s degree or above in business administration, public administration, communications, or a related field AND three (3) years of experience conducting research and analyzing policies, laws, rules, or regulations.

Professional experience should include two (2) or more of the following areas:

  • Stakeholder engagement work
  • Event/meeting planning
  • Leading business projects
  • Provide administrative support

OR

An Associate’s degree or above in business administration, public administration, communications, or a related field AND five (5) years of experience as listed above.

OR

Seven (7) years of experience as listed above.
