Full-Time Associate Registrar
Job Description
Elmira College is a private liberal arts College located in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Seeking innovative professionals from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds to fill the position of Associate Registrar to join the open and welcoming Registrar’s Office.
The Associate Registrar is responsible for assisting the Registrar in implementing policies and procedures for student registration and monitoring of student academic records. In conjunction with faculty advisors, the Associate Registrar provides assistance to students in completion of degree requirements. The Associate Registrar is the module manager in Jenzabar (SIS) for Academic Advising and oversees the technical aspects of academic advising.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Manage the degree audit system from Jenzabar,
- Work with the Advising Committee to create faculty advising,
- Maintain and update degree requirements in the Advising Module
- Process curriculum and course additions, changes, deletions
- Monitor degree requirement completion for full-time and part-time undergraduates
- Process updates, substitutions, and waivers of degree requirements
- Enter transfer credits and articulate courses
- Prepare lists of degree candidates for faculty meetings three times a year
- Enter graduation application data and degree conferral information into Jenzabar
- Regular NSC degree and enrollment verification reporting
- Submit and correct regular enrollment and degree verification reports to the National Student Clearinghouse
- Manage posting degrees, diplomas, and degree verifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Three to five years of experience in higher education, preferably in Academic Affairs
- Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products, Google products, including email, calendar, and docs and sheets, experience in Jenzabar EX or similar student information system will be an advantage
- Satisfactory level of knowledge of Federal and State academic policies as they pertain to post-secondary education

WORKING CONDITIONS: Job duties performed in an insulated, but open-door private office, as well as in an open multi-station area. Interaction with other College constituents will require meeting in other on- and off-campus locations.
