Full-Time Associate/Senior Associate, Impact

prime.coalition – Posted by prime.coalition Anywhere

Job Description

About the Position

As an investor and a nonprofit, Prime steers capital toward addressing climate change by creating and implementing impact-first investment programs targeting acute capital gaps and well-defined impact thresholds. Each of Prime’s catalytic investing programs has three investment criteria: impact potential, additionality, and bridge to somewhere.

This role may be an Associate or a Senior Associate depending on level of experience. The Associate will play a leading role in conducting rigorous, quantitative impact potential assessments for climate solutions under investment consideration for investment by Azolla Ventures. During pre-investment diligence, the Associate will become familiar with the solution in collaboration with the investment team, conduct desk research and expert interviews, and construct quantitative models to determine whether the climate impact potential passes Prime’s threshold. After an investment is made, the Associate will contribute to impact monitoring and management by establishing climate impact milestones and targets that will keep each portfolio company on track to achieving large-scale climate impact. This is a tremendous opportunity to join a growing team at the leading edge of impact-first investing in climate solutions and actively advance impact assessment methodologies and designs.

The Associate will report to the Director of Impact, working closely with all members of Prime’s team and representing the organization externally. The Associate will embody Prime’s values of care, additionality, humility, tenacity, and collective abundance, while relentlessly evangelizing Prime’s mission.
