Full-Time Senior Analyst, Data Science & Analytics

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required) with mathematical or engineering background: Statistics, Data Mining, Operations Research, Econometrics, Finance, Engineering or similar.
  • 1 to 3 years of quantitative analytics experience with marketing metrics and tracking is helpful, but not required.
  • An effective client-facing communicator in both written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a large cross-functional team.
  • Ability and willingness to learn in a fast paced environment and adapt to the situation.
  • This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

We’re also looking for the preferred skills below. Whether you are proficient or could use some brushing up, we’re happy to support your development in:

  • Excel, SQL, R, Python or similar software use.
  • Data analytics and/or statistical concepts such as marketing mix modeling, multi-touch attribution modeling, multivariate regression, time-series modeling, Bayesian statistics, segmentation modeling, machine learning, data mining, simulation, optimization, forecasting, and ROI analysis.

Impact You’ll Make:

  • You’ll help diagnose business needs, translate into questions that Transunion will answer, and architect ways to wrangle data from multiple sources.
  • You’ll work closely with Transunion’s data scientists, consultants, and external clients to identify new insights, translate findings into the stakeholder’s native language and tell stories to make complex things simple to understand and translate into measurable actions.
  • You’ll implement our unified analytics solutions to address marketing effectiveness, return on investment (ROI), brand equity impact, segmentation, pricing, and environmental factors.
  • This role reports directly to the Senior Director of Data Science & Analytics.
  • In the 1st 90 days, you will complete a training curriculum designed by the manager of the role. At the 60 day mark, you will work to complete a client project with supervision.

Day-to-day responsibilities of the role include:

  • Working with senior data scientists and offshore associates to ensure model quality in terms of modeling methodologies, data / model validation metrics, actionable insights, and analytical/technical best practices.
  • Analyzing big data sets to generate deep insights on paid media, organic media, market conditions, web navigations, and individuals’ propensities on multi-step conversion activities in the consumer journeys.
  • Validating model results and package them into insightful client-friendly reports on ROI analysis, forecasting, simulation and optimization.
  • Ensuring rigorous quality control and detect anomalies in the model with ongoing new data stream.

Pay Scale Information :

The salary range for this position is $68,195.00 – $111,800.00. *The salary range for this position reflects the general range of compensation for this job and does not include our bonus incentive(s). This position is eligible for bonus incentive(s). At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position, and market considerations.
