Project title: CRM Technical Project Management Support
Project begins: January 1, 2024
Project length: January 1, 2024 – June 30, 2024
Hourly Rate: $100/hr
Project Overview: This is a contract to support the buildout of a CRM platform ahead of the 2024 election cycle, with a workload averaging 20 hours a week. Any hours given in a scope of work are an estimate and MoveOn does not guarantee a specific number of hours to its contractors.

Scope of work:
- Manage an assigned set of medium to large scale technical software implementation projects.
- Lead end-to-end project management efforts for key technology builds including project planning, execution, monitoring, documentation, and closure; ensuring each phase is documented appropriately
- Analyze and communicate project status, risks, and schedules to all stakeholders
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and key stakeholders, business leaders to finalize project roadmaps
- Coordinate and manage different work streams, ensuring proper sequencing of tasks and a clear order of operations.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams, navigating challenges and ensuring a cohesive working environment.
- Maintain focus on project risks and interdependencies across the life cycle, making contingency plans to proactively address concerns that pose risk to budget, schedule, and scope.
- Engage cross-functional stakeholders across multiple business units / application areas for problem solving, short-and long-term technology solutions, and risk mitigation activities.
- Display strong initiative, addressing issues without prompting.
- Assist in preparing presentations and presents to leadership and stakeholders.
Works closely with: Crystal Andrews (Product Director), Ilona Brand (Managing Director of Tech)
- The contractor will also work closely with key staff including tech engineers, product managers, UX Designers, QA contractor, and business stakeholders
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience in managing multiple medium-to-large scale software development projects/programs collaborating with cross functional teams
- Ability to multi-task and comfortable working within an organization that responds to the changing political climate
- Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills; good consensus builder
- Outstanding collaborative skills and ability to interface across organizational levels
- Collaborate with stakeholders to initiate and develop business cases, outlining project objectives, benefits, scope, and feasibility
- Effectively manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring that each project is on track and aligned with organizational goals.
- Maintain transparent and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on project progress.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a history of detail-oriented, start to finish project execution
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
- Ability to creatively solve problems in a rapid response environment
- Previous experience managing projects in the progressive activism, advocacy, campaigning, organizing, or political space
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in project management tools and software

Most-favorable terms:
- MoveOn reserves the right to make an award without further discussion of the proposal submitted. Therefore, the proposal should be submitted initially on the most favorable terms that the vendor could propose. There will be no best-and-final-offer procedure. MoveOn does reserve the right to contact a vendor for clarification of its proposal.
- The vendor should be prepared to accept this request for proposal for incorporation into a contract resulting from this request for proposal. Contract negotiations may incorporate some or the vendor’s entire proposal. It is understood that the proposal will become a part of the official procurement file on this matter without obligation to MoveOn.

This request for proposal does not obligate MoveOn to contract for services specified herein.
Rejection of proposals
MoveOn reserves the right at its sole discretion to reject any and all proposals received without penalty and not to issue a contract as a result of this request for proposal.
