Power BI/Power Apps Developer
Reports to: Head of Insight
Location: West London – currently operating an agile working policy with two core days (Mon and Weds) in the office
Contract: Permanent
Pattern: Full Time (standard hours 9am – 5.30pm)

Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 (depending on experience)
About the role:
Reporting to the Head of Insight within the IT, Systems and Data directorate, we are looking for a talented and motivated Power BI and Power Apps Developer to join our team at Ark. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping us harness the power of data analytics and develop custom applications using Power Apps to drive educational excellence and enhance our data led decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain interactive and insightful Power BI dashboards
- Collect and analyse data requirements from various stakeholders
- Design data models and create reports and visualisations to support data-driven decision-making
- Build custom applications using Power Apps to meet specific educational needs
- Integrate Power Apps with SharePoint and other platforms to ensure smooth data flow
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Utilise Power BI to generate in-depth insights from educational data
- Create and automate reports to monitor key performance indicators
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in developing Power BI dashboards and reports
- Proficiency in Power Apps development, including SharePoint integration
- Excellent communication skills to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, adapting communication style as necessary
- Strong interpersonal skills, both written and oral, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Attention to detail and confident report and documentation skills, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all deliverables
- Ability to find creative and innovative solutions to improve efficiency, approaching challenges with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
- Knowledge of the education sector is beneficial
