Position Description
The ideal candidate is an engaging, creative and data-driven thinker who wants to contribute from day one. This position is key to future agency growth and will play an essential role in the strategy, management analysis and optimization of our client campaigns.
This person will be responsible for assisting with planning, optimizing, implementing and analysis of paid media activities. Responsibilities include top-to-bottom management of clients’ SEM activities and analysis of paid media efforts and optimization recommendations. The position requires a strong background in pay-per-click (PPC) management with the ability to operate on both a strategic and tactical level, as well as a strong background in data management and analysis through Google Analytics.

Essential Responsibilities
SEM
- Expert in paid search management, including, but not limited to, keyword management, competitive research, bidding strategies, creative testing and ad creation for new and existing paid search campaigns.
- Stays current with new advances in search engine marketing, competitive landscape and keyword research.
- Executes tests (A/B and Multivariate) on ad copy, bidding strategies, landing pages and audience definitions, among others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong attention to project management and follow-through.
- Ability to manage budgets and burn-rate to adhere to approved spend.
DIGITAL STRATEGY
- Collaborate with media and social team to launch and optimize data-driven campaigns.
- Define and leverage customer journeys, user experience and user roles to inform strategy, including, but not limited to, content recommendations, appropriate calls to action, campaign measurement and optimization.
- Recommend and implement conversion tracking through Google Tag Manager.
- Recommend audience creation for retargeting and other related opportunities.
DATA MANAGEMENT AND ANALYSIS
- Develops and manages client dashboards.
- Knowledge of 3rd party tracking and serving technology related to SEM.
- Analyzes data from online/offline promotions, email, social media, and other forms of media as they relate to an integrated campaign.
- Manages client benchmarks and assists media and social team in optimization of in-market campaigns.
- Synthesizes data into actionable information to present to clients at various levels of sophistication.
MARKETING AUTOMATION
- Responsible for email marketing program development and execution, including segmentation, testing and deployment, continually evaluating these for improvements.
- Understand and evaluate email metrics and distribute campaign performance to the team.
Basic Qualifications
- Must have digital agency experience.
- 5+ years experience in the following:
- Managing digital marketing campaigns.
- Managing paid search engine marketing campaigns.
- Google AdWords.
- Google Analytics and Tag Manager.
- Google Campaign Manager 360.
- Knowledge of HubSpot/Salesforce.
- BA or BS with focus on communication: Advertising/Marketing.
- Working knowledge and real-world experience in planning, managing and executing digital media initiatives.
- Knowledge of digital marketing current best practices and understanding of digital production practices.
Desired Experience/Traits
- Passion for advertising, strategy, leadership and experience in digital media.
- Experience in paid search and data analysis.
- Experience with marketing automation a plus!
- Experience with healthcare, pharmaceutical, food, foodservice and/or agriculture clients.
