Full-Time Deputy Director of Multichannel Fundraising

Job Description

Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun violence prevention advocacy organization in the nation, is seeking a passionate, dedicated leader to join our team as a Deputy Director of Multichannel Fundraising. The primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, developing and executing successful multichannel fundraising strategies and campaigns, ensuring critical key performance indicators are achieved, and working collaboratively within and between departments.

This position requires strong team management skills, experience leading successful multichannel fundraising campaigns, and expertise with copywriting and editing fundraising communications.

The position will report to Everytown’s Managing Director of Donor Growth and Experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work collaboratively with online and direct marketing fundraising teams to:
    • Establish best practices for soliciting, engaging, retaining, and upgrading current donors, and converting new donors.
    • Create monthly and quarterly benchmarks and goals in service of annual fundraising goals.
  • Manage a small but mighty team of effective fundraisers.
  • Work closely with the Digital Advocacy team to ensure coherent content strategies across platforms.
  • Become an expert in Everytown’s ladder of support/donor journey in order to continually evaluate and optimize performance.
  • Work with the Managing Director of Donor Growth and Experience to monitor budgets across the department.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies in service of fundraising goals.
  • Participate in regular meetings with key stakeholders within the organization, as well as regular vendor meetings.

 

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 + years of nonprofit fundraising experience, with electoral fundraising experience a plus.
  • Proven track record in leading successful fundraising programs.
  • Management experience required.
  • Know the fundamentals of online and offline fundraising and marketing.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required.
  • Strong critical/analytical thinking and decision-making skills required.
  • Ability to build and nurture effective working relationships required.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with great sensitivity required.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of independence, enthusiasm, and self-motivation.
  • Excellent time management skills required.
  • Experience with Email Service Providers & Customer Relationship Management platforms required, ActionKit experience a plus.

The annual salary range for this role is $130,000 to $140,000. Everytown offers a generous benefits package including Medical, Dental and Vision benefits, PTO (vacation, personal, and sick time), 401K Match, Education Assistance, and more.
