Acute Resourcing Manager

Xyla Elective Care (Part of Acacium Group)

Permanent, Full Time

Monday to Friday 9:00 – 17:30 (37.5 hours per week)

Hybrid working with London Office (Appold Street)  2/3 days per week

£40,000 – £45,000 Per Annum (D.O.E) + 10% annual bonus

As our Acute Resourcing Manager you are responsible for leading the Acute Resourcing and Booking Team to ensure that a well-coordinated and appropriately skilled workforce is in place for all services provided. You will be a capable and experienced leader who can drive accountability and performance throughout a high paced function, whilst maintaining exceptional levels of engagement within the team.

In this position you will work closely with Service Delivery Managers, the Commercial Operations Manager and the Head of Mobilisation, and have regular interaction with senior leaders across the business.

Part of Acacium Group, Xyla Elective Care, we work collaboratively with our acute NHS Trust clients by increasing clinical capacity across a wide range of elective care specialties helping customers successfully manage their waiting lists, staffing shortages and fluctuations in service demand. With our help, patient access to services is improved and waiting times are reduced. Our services mirror existing local pathways and exceptional care for patients.


Everyday you will..
.

  • Be expected to lead on the improvement of processes and efficiencies, monitoring KPI’s and ensuring that quality customer service is prioritised and improved to deliver a better experience for our clinical staff, including streamlining resourcing processes and communication.
  • Effectively line manage and lead the Resourcing and Booking team, actively supporting and promoting the development of the team, through a clear and structured 1:2:1 framework.
  • Take responsibility for the implementation of monitoring systems, alongside the Commercial Ops team, to ensure cost targets are met and expenses are reduced with appropriate resourcing of contracts to reduce travel & accommodation costs.
  • Ensure prompt escalation processes for urgent and long-term shift gaps, working closely with our Group recruitment & compliance Managed Service Provider (MSP).
  • Lead the MSP relationship, ensuring services are being delivered in line with agreed KPI’s/SLA, minimising/eradicating the impact of workforce related cancellations within the Acute business.
  • Oversee the distribution of relevant documentation and reporting instructions, including team lists, site documents/updates, to all clinical teams ahead of their shifts.

To thrive in this role, you must ideally have…

  • Experience in managing a large team within a fast paced, complex, and regulated industry including scheduling large multi-disciplinary service teams within healthcare.
  • Prior expertise in team KPI management, implementing cost control measures and reporting on this
  • Strong relationship building, management and communication skills to support mobilising large teams of clinical staff to meet contract demands
  • Exposure to recruitment or managing a workforce managed service provider provision
  • Track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of staff both internally and externally
