Job Description
- Greet customers calling into our main phone.
- Perform radio communications.
- Serve as our receptionist greeting customers.
- Maintain our inventory for stocked items.
- Process our payroll and invoices using our online database (SAP).
- Use your computer skills for data entry, typing letters, and creating reports, such as accident and worker’s compensation reports.
- Customer service experience, including solving customer challenges.
- Computer experience using Microsoft Office (especially Access, Word, and Excel).
- Experience completing and/or maintaining records and reports.
- Experience interpreting and/or explaining policies, procedures, and laws.
- Administrative experience in letter writing, using correct spelling, punctuation, and proofreading.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent organizational skills to prioritize daily tasks.
- Ability to independently process technical information.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Office skills to operate computers, a copy machine, a fax machine, a multi-line telephone system, and a scanner.
- Communication skills to present information clearly and concisely in verbal and written forms with the public, NCDOT staff, and government officials.
- You may be required to work nights and weekends as needed during inclement weather.
- High school/GED diploma, and
- 2+ years of related administrative experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
