Full-Time Operating System Design Manager
Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity in our Aerial Work Platforms business, part of our Terex family of brands. The Operating System Design Manager has responsibility for coordinating efforts related to Genie’s management system and business operating system. The person in this role will enable the organization to achieve performance excellence through the execution of our management system, annual planning cycle, and strategic initiatives. This role reports to the Director, Global Strategy and must be in the USA; Waukesha, Wisconsin preferred.

Responsibilities:
- Support Genie’s Office of Strategy goal of developing and enabling long-term strategic plan through project management of the annual planning cycle and our management system governance
- Develop and execute management system for Roadmapping, Strategic Planning and Annual Operating Planning
- Develop and implement communication plans to support strategic initiatives
- Document and improve processes around our management system design and annual planning process
- Leverage change management principles
- Maintain dialogue with Genie leadership and functional representatives to ensure management system effectiveness
- Recognize inconsistencies in governance practices and initiate and manage the appropriate corrective action
- Manage monthly reporting aligned with organizational strategic goals
- Develop analysis to support decision-making processes around execution to drive better decisions and results
- Identify, track and manage project risks, associated action plans
- Maintain relationships to ensure alignment across functions with Genie’s long-term strategic plan
- Communicate project status to leadership team
- Travel domestically and internationally to key Terex, Genie, partner and customer sites to effectively collaborate and empower cross-functional teams in pursuit of common goals; up to 50% travel during certain times of the year
- Actively promote and enable Terex diversity, inclusion, and equity (DEI) goals & initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (Business preferred) or 7+ years professional work experience
- Minumum 1-2 years work experience (internships and co-op experience included)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years total experience in project management or consulting
- Experience with business governance development and execution
- Structured problem-solving approach and evidence-based action planning
- Experience leading business process improvements in cross-functional teams
- Experience in an international business environment & ability to interact successfully in diverse cultures
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to motivate and inspire teams
- Excellent communication, PowerPoint, and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a matrix environment and build strong relationships by being transparent, dependable, and accountable
- Demonstrated ability in critical thinking, influence, negotiation, problem solving, and strategic thinking
- Demonstrated ability to influence areas not under direct control to achieve goals and effectively communicate opportunities for improvement
Travel:
- Must be willing and able to travel (approximately 50%)
The salary range for this position is $96,800.00 – $145,200.00. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
