Type – FT, Flexible Hours: 35 hours per week

Location: Hybrid Working (Liverpool/Work from Home)

Salary: £29,217 to £31,058

Role overview:

We now have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and talented individual to join the Finance Team.  Reporting to the SIF Accountant the post of Grants Officer is responsible for supporting a variety of grant funded projects, from inception through to closure, within the Combined Authority in the discharge of the organisations Accountable Body functions.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy Finance Team and to contribute to the development and opportunities that exist both now and in the future.

Key role and responsibilities:

  • You will assist in the development of funding schedules for prospective grant funded projects
  • You will receive and process grant/loan claims
  • You will maintain all records in respect of live claims
  • You will contribute to the monthly and quarterly monitoring, liaising closely with PMO
  • You will maintain the integrity of all financial data in the ledger
  • You will assist in the production of statutory reporting requirements
  • You will assist in the closure of accounts process

Required skills and knowledge:

  • AAT qualified or equivalent
  • An understanding of Local Authority finances and grant funding regimes
  • Ability to prioritise and manage own workload against strict deadlines
  • The ability to engage and work with a range of professionals
  • A commitment to the LCR and an understanding of its stakeholders
  • An ability to demonstrate our core values, including a commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
  • Experience of contributing to a high-performance culture
