Job Description
SUMMARY
Responsible for building out the code within Black Knight’s cloud based data platform. This resource will help code, model, build reports and run analysis for client consumption. Trains clients on how to use the platform and build analytics. Uses financial theory as well as past trends to develop predictive modeling about the future behavior of a market.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for analyzing, testing, and calibrating financial models, tools and products
- Demonstrates financial models to customers and clients to train them on our product or services
- Use one or more analytical tools from a suite of mathematical/application tools to perform appropriate analysis on specified product, transaction, market activity, or investment vehicle that has multiple variables affecting potential outcomes
- Report in quantitative manner on parameters of proposed purchase, sale, marketing action, structure of transaction or market activity, or risk factors and the degree to which they could affect outcomes
- Perform ad hoc analyses as needed and assist managers of specific product lines with analytical, valuation, or pricing projects
- Propose new risk indicators for management approval and implementation
- Assist with consulting with the business owners, designing and implementing an interface to record key indicators, research industry best practices of analyzing and reporting key performance indicators
- Design test cases and test applications for systems used for a variety of analytical, pricing, risk management or credit pricing to ensure the business needs are met and analytics are correctly implemented
- Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
- Requires 5+ years of related work experience in developing formulas and/or financial models of market trends and risks
- Strong SQL experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive knowledge of financial theory and the behavior of various financial markets
- Ability to code in Python and/or R
- Ability to build reports and run analysis
- Master’s Degree
- Mortgage or financial services experience (capital markets, property record data, mortgage loan lifecycle)
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI and Tableau
- Client facing experience with the ability to train clients
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply to practical applications
- Client focused approach with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent oral, presentation and written communication skills
The target pay range for this position typically starts at $85k – $135k.
Black Knight carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, specialty, experience, and work location.
