The London Fire Brigade is actively seeking Trainee Fire Safety Advisers to work across London, with opportunities available in both service delivery and centralised teams within the Prevention and Protection (Fire Safety) Department. This engaging role offers an opportunity to positively impact London and our communities, safeguarding both property and lives.
As a Fire Safety Adviser, you will:
• utilise your communication skills to collaborate with a range of businesses and organisations, identifying potential hazards and breaches in Fire Safety Law
• consider and technically review fire safety design for all premises types, engaging with stakeholders as necessary
• support operational staff based on fire stations and in other areas of the brigade by improving their awareness of fire safety regulation
• provide fire safety advice to members of the public
• work both independently and as part of team
• keep up to date with the latest in building safety legislation and standards, understanding legislative changes, with access to qualifications to applicable to your role
We are looking for:

*as you will be required to conduct thorough inspections of entire buildings, carrying equipment as necessary. This may involve travelling around the surrounding areas and thoroughly reviewing internal building structures.
To enable you to fulfil the duties of this role you will be provided with:
• Initial comprehensive technical training**
• Level 3 and Level 4 Certificate in Fire Safety.
• Ongoing formal qualifications and training packages
• Uniform and Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
**NB, Attendance is required on a full time basis during the initial training period (22 weeks) irrespective of job share opportunities.

Assessment Overview
Stage 1
