Full-Time Waste Water Tech

Job Description

Process Support Tech I/Wastewater Treatment Operator positions Standard Work will include participation, operation, support, and maintenance of the following categories:

  • Safety Programs
  • Boiler & Refrigeration Systems
  • Utility Systems
  • Wastewater Treatment Systems
  • Sanitation and Chemical Handling & Usage
  • Daily Management Systems (i.e. Center Lines, CIL, Defect Handling, Incident Elimination, etc.)
  • AMD/Equipment Ownership Systems
  • Work Development Plan (WDP) – Continuous Skills Development
  • Process Support Tech Training Programs
  • Loss Elimination

Note: This is not an exhaustive list and other tasks may be assigned based on Systems and Standards development and work area needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED):

  • Must gain the required understanding of chemicals and hazards associated within their work area.
  • Owns a system and reports on the system daily in DDS (Daily Direction Setting).
  • Technical knowledge of two (2) areas of Equipment Ownership – operate and maintain at base condition.
  • Able to read and interpret gauges, readings, and basic operations
  • Participates in root cause analysis exercises and activities (IPS &UPS) , become familiar with tools available for root cause identification
  • Completes all CILs, Defect Handling and Centerlines within area of responsibility at required frequency, including out-of-limit reports.
  • Supports all other DMS systems as assigned.
  • Can do AMD/PM tasks independently, and can start, train, and lead these tasks.
  • Use troubleshooting guide to return equipment to base operating condition and resolve issues, eliminate losses.
  • Understand and execute Sanitation (SSOPs, CIPs, chemical handling, daily, weekly, etc.).
  • Able to display skills in manufacturing processes, including operating, maintaining, and cleaning automated equipment.
  • Maintaining accurate records and data
  • Display strong technical, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Operating essential material handling equipment at the site e.g., clamp truck, forklift, hand trucks, etc.

We believe to be able to perform on the job, you will need to meet the following physical requirements:

  • Use basic hand and power tools.
  • Lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping; climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders, and platforms; twist, turn and bend.
  • Enter confined spaces.
  • Stand on concrete floors for an extended period.
  • The American Falls Lamb Weston Plant operates 7-days per week. Technicians work any day of the week, including weekends. Changes in business volume and production requirements can cause the plant to occasionally change the length of work shifts or the rotation schedule. The hours of work are typically 12 hours per day. Technicians are expected to be willing to rotate and to work any shift. Additional days could be required to be worked as overtime.

Qualifications

  • Have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent education.
  • Wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes)
  • Willing to work rotating shifts.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s work location, job duties, experience and expertise. A reasonable hourly estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $21.69
