Trainee Commercial Analyst– Home Office (via AMS Talent Lab) – Liverpool, Manchester, Peterborough (Hybrid)

The Opportunity
Our expert training providers will take you through 8 weeks of full-time virtual learning, preparing you to move into industry as Trainee Commercial Analyst. Training will prepare you to take CIPS exams Level 3 & 4, PRINCE2 Foundation, WorldCC Commercial & Contract Management Fundamentals, and a Foundation Certificate in Business Change.
Once training has been completed, you will work with our leading public sector client – The Home Office, managing procurement and supply chain projects.
We do not expect previous experience in this field, but we do require a thirst for learning and a passion for growing your career within a major public sector organisation.
The Role
This is a hybrid opportunity. Once onboarded by the Home Office, you would work 40% of the week from one of their offices in Liverpool, Manchester, or Peterborough within either the Missions, Grants or DDAT (Digital, Data and Technology) commercial teams.
As a Trainee Commercial Assistant, you can expect to:
Support on procurements, ensuring policies, processes, and procurement law are adhered to.
Develop contract management and commercial plans for goods & services, providing commercial options.
Supporting in the delivery of financial analyses and projections, business content, market analysis and early market engagement activities and cashable savings initiatives.

Educated to a degree calibre.
Hold permanent right to work in UK with no restrictions now or in the future.
Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Confidently manage internal & external stakeholders

Exceptional presentation skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills
Fluency in English language
Appetite to learn
Ability to work both collaboratively and autonomously
The ability to self-motivate and to own problems, with a strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
