STAFF VACANCY
Brescia University College campus is situated on the traditional lands of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, Lūnaapéewak, and Chonnonton Nation. Brescia is currently seeking experienced and dynamic individuals to fill positions as:
DISHWASHER / PORTER
Contract positions – Full-time and Part-time- $15.66 per hour
August 30, 2023 – April 30,2024
Receiving direction from the Sous Chefs, Hospitality Coordinator and the Food Services Manager, primary responsibilities will be maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room and kitchen area. Specific duties include: operating dishwasher, rack, unrack and stack soiled dishes and utensils; cleaning utensils, dishes, trays, pots, etc; keeping work area and floors clean, including refrigerators and other equipment: and receive and store deliveries as required.
Required skills include: knowledge of food services normally gained through experience in the food service industry; excellent customer service skills; attention to detail; strong interpersonal skills; ability to follow oral and written direction; knowledge of WHMIS and the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Work may involve some heavy lifting and repetitive movements. A willingness to work flexible hours including some weekends and evenings will also be necessary.
