ActionAid UK is a member of the ActionAid Federation, an international charity that works with women and girls living in poverty.    As part of the ActionAid Federation, we work with women and girls, our partners, and dedicated staff in 43 countries to end violence and fight poverty so that all women, everywhere, can create the future they want.

Do you have strong fundraising acumen?

Are you a keen advocate of women and girls’ rights in emergencies?

Then we’d love to hear from you.

The Humanitarian Policy and Practice team is a key delivery partner in ActionAid’s UK strategy to promote a world where women and girls are valued, live free from violence, and can exercise their rights to promote their own economic empowerment, safety, equality and voice. The team is comprised of members supporting financial resource mobilisation, grant/ contract management, programmatic innovation, research and learning towards this end.

The business development team has a particular responsibility for mobilising financial resources from donors focused on international development programmes and projects. You will support a team which will build an effective and innovative pipeline of concepts and proposals for funding.

Working closely with the Programme Quality and Assurance, Research and Programme Policy and the Advocacy teams, this role is responsible for supporting the organisation’s relationships with institutional donors and growing funding partnerships strategically. Our ideal candidate will bring strong fundraising acumen, programming experience and a spirit of collaboration to ActionAid UK as it delivers on its strategy.

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be asked to participate in criminal records checks at the point of offer.
