Job Description

Position: Research Associate at DHM Research
Location: Remote work, located in Portland or Seattle

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE POSITION
Are you curious about what people really think about affordable housing, the future of transportation, or the increased partisanship in politics? Are you passionate about deepening your understanding of public policy, research, and your community? Does being part of a thoughtful, collaborative, and supportive team excite you? If so, we’d love for you to apply to join the DHM Research team as a Research Associate.

Like everyone on the team, you’ll wear many hats as our new Research Associate. You’ll coordinate the fieldwork surrounding research projects; prepare, format, and QA client deliverables; and support the execution of internal and client research projects. You’ll increasingly be responsible for developing research materials and analyzing results.

Hours: 40 hours per week, with occasional evening or weekend work
Salary: $42,000–$47,000 commensurate with research experience (starting pay is $42,000 – $45,000)
Health, dental, vision: Up to $500 covered for employees, buy-up options
Retirement: 401K with a 4% employer contribution
Stipend: $100 monthly for transportation, phone, internet
Community: Four hours of paid volunteer time per month

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Interest in research, public policy, and community impact
  • Minimum of 6 months quantitative and/or qualitative research experience
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Solid analytical writing skills
  • Collaborative and an effective communicator
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects while paying close attention to details and timelines

  • Experience in data cleaning and coding data and interested in data visualization
