Full-Time Senior Architect
Job Description
Position Summary:
Branch Architects are responsible for providing input, direction and technical guidance on strategic engineering goals for Kessel Run. The role crosses branch teams in its scope and can be tasked to work on larger Kessel Run organizational goals and issues.
The branch architect researches and provides solutions to meet future growth or to eliminate occurring or potential limiting factors that could negatively impact the Kessel Run portfolio, and to identify technical solutions that could aid in the efficiency and/or cohesiveness of the broader engineering teams and Kessel Run portfolio.
Responsibilities (Tangible Deliverables):
- Work with R&D, PLs and PMs in order to determine needs for new software, platforms and applications
- Provide support, communication, instruction and pairing as necessary for any new solutions identified
- Collaborate with other teams on issue resolution impacting KREL
- Research and promote new frameworks
- Understand business needs, requirements and current processes and helps to transform those needs into technical solutions
- Actively involved in cross organization discussions on roadmap
- Anticipate and plan for future needs

- Proactively and reactively identify, research and provide solutions for areas of potential or emerging concerns directly or as part of a larger cross organizational team

Additional Information
You must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (see eligibility requirements here).
This is a Federal civilian service position within the United States Air Force. We are hiring at the equivalent of a GS-14 up to GS-15 level for this position. This means you can expect a base salary of $99,908 to $152,771 multiplied by your locality rate, based on your experience. You can find your locality definition here and see the pay tables for the GS scale here. Our headquarters is located in Boston, MA; for a Boston-based employee, this would translate to a range from $130,929 to $183,500.
