As a Vessel Engineer, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining all aspects of the engineering function including the engine room, ancillary machinery control room and equipment across a 24/7 shift pattern. The role is key in ensuring availability of Mersey Ferries services through effective daily maintenance and planned maintenance during in and out of water surveys. You will complete and maintain records in line with Marine Coastguard Authority (MCA) requirements and working with external contractors and stakeholders.
You will play an active role in the delivery of several projects and continually work with colleagues to improve service. You will work closely with the Marine Engineering Superintendent as well as a wider team all committed to the world-famous Mersey Ferries.
