We are looking for an inspirational, creative and conscientious individual to join our successful Hair and Beauty team within the Lee Stafford Hair Academy at Abingdon and Witney College as a lecturer in Hairdressing on an hourly paid basis.
To support your application, you will need to hold a Level 3 qualification in Hairdressing or Barbering, recent experience of work within the industry and ideally a recognised teaching or assessor qualification. Experience in the Beauty Therapy field could also be advantageous.
If you are working in industry and are considering becoming a teacher but do not yet hold a teaching qualification, the college can support the right candidate to achieve this.
Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
In return, Abingdon & Witney College offer excellent benefits to our employees including generous pension and holiday schemes (with potential Christmas closure days), continued professional development, flexible working options, corporate gym membership, cycle/tech scheme and much more.
Closing date: 16th August 2023
Interview date: 25th August 2023
No candidate will meet every single desired qualification / criteria. If your experience looks a little different from what we’ve identified and you think you can bring value to the role, we’d love to learn more about you!
