You will work proactively, creatively and effectively with at-risk young people aged 18+ to identify and develop their assets and talents and to acquire the skills they need to live independent and fulfilling lives. You will promote a credit culture and coach young people to manage or gain life skills and adhere to house expectations, in preparation for independent living. A successful applicant will be passionate about supporting at risk young people to lead independent lives. You will have good interpersonal skills, the ability to build strong relationships and an understanding of the support needs of young people and/or adults at risk, along with an awareness of all aspects of safeguarding. You will have experience working in a customer facing environment and remaining calm and solution-focused when dealing with challenging behaviour. You will understand the impact of trauma on others and have the ability to use a strengths-based approach with people who may be in distress. It is desirable to have a driving licence and access to a car, however not essential.
