Wage:

$82,000 – $92,000 / year

Benefits:

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the North Central Director, the Crisis Services Manager provides clinical supervision to DCR staff and participates in administrative and human resource activities to support the program and service delivery.

Responsibilities:

Program Administrative Activities

  • Assists in establishing standards and procedures for Designated Crisis Responder (DCR) service delivery
  • Provides clinical and administrative supervision to assigned DCR staff
  • Oversees credentialing and license status of staff assigned
  • Assists with case record reviews for quality and appropriateness of service delivery, participating in preparation and audit activities as required
  • Assures that Crisis Services operates in compliance with contracts, licensing, and relevant regulatory requirements
  • At the discretion of Wenatchee Director, attends community meetings related to DCR service delivery
  • Oversees DCR Schedule directly or through designee to ensure DCR coverage is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
  • Works with administration to ensure quality clinical services are provided
  • Works with administration to ensure clinical documentation completed by staff meets agency and funder requirements and requirements specified by RCW, WAC, and DCR Protocols.
  • Attends unit staff meetings, clinical team meetings, Management Team meetings and Quality Improvement meetings
  • Provides direct clinical services to individuals in crisis as required with emphasis on ensuring clinical coverage.

Supervises clinical staff

  • Assigns, supervises and monitors clinical activities of supervisees through individual and group supervision, review of clinical records
  • Helps with recruitment and selection of clinical staff
  • Orients and trains new employees; ensures all yearly required agency and state training is completed in a timely manner.
  • Provides on the job training and facilitates other staff development opportunities
  • Evaluates staff performance annually
  • Ensures accurate and timely documentation and submission of hours / timesheets
  • Ensures staff performance meets agency productivity and documentation requirements
  • Develops and implements corrective action plans with staff to address performance issues, as indicated
  • Coordinates with Agency Human Resources as required regarding personnel actions
  • Embraces utilization of evidence based practices as applicable to populations served and commits to implementation of EBPs in accordance with fidelity requirements.
  • Works collaboratively with Agency Director, Director of Community Integration, and Mobile Crisis Intervention leaderships to increase clinician knowledge, understanding and commitment to effective teamwork accordance with agency standards.

Job Requirements:

Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires that physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, talking and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 80% of the time. Position also requires ability to drive with adequate vision and skill.

Non-Physical Requirements:

Education

  • Masters Degree in Counseling, or related Behavioral Health Sciences

Experience

  • 1 to 2 years experience in direct supervision experience
  • At least 5 years experience in Clinical or Community Mental Health setting with individuals with serious mental illness
  • At least 2 years experience delivering crisis services.
  • Training in working with special populations (children, older adults, etc.)
  • Training in evidence based practices is desired

Special Skills

  • Possess and utilize effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to be self-motivated, work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to represent the agency in a professional manner within the community
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required
  • Uses a strength based approach with staff and promotes a positive work environment
  • Ability to work beyond 40 hours when needed as part of salaried, exempt, managerial position.

Licensure, Registration, Certification

  • Valid Washington State drivers license and agency required minimum liability insurance
  • Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker or Mental Health Counselor preferred
  • Obtained, eligible, or meets eligibility requirements for Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS) credential.

Employment is conditional upon:

  • Being cleared by criminal background check and fingerprinting when required
  • Position must live within 30 minutes of job site
