Flexible Working Opportunity based in Ontario

$125,000 to $135,000 + benefits

 

 

COTA Health (Cota) is an accredited, not-for-profit, community-based organization in Toronto that has been supporting adults with mental health and cognitive challenges to live well within their communities for over 45 years. This includes person-centred supports that assist individuals to find inspiration and hope in their inherent strengths and support them to pursue meaningful change in their lives, as they define it.

 

Cota works collaboratively with funders, partners and other stakeholders, and across provincial health and social service systems, to inspire positive change in the way that services are delivered to individuals living with mental health and cognitive challenges.  These include case management, supportive housing, short-term residential beds, day programs, court and justice related services, an Assertive Housing First Team (AHFT) and services for individuals who are experiencing homelessness, such as adults living with serious mental illness, geriatric mental health conditions, acquired brain injuries, developmental disabilities and dual diagnoses. www.cotainspires.ca

We are seeking a highly skilled, collaborative and enthusiastic addition to our senior management team as the Senior Director, Finance and Administration.  The successful candidate will be accountable for leading and overseeing all finance, facilities, information management and information technology (IM/IT) aspects of Cota’s operations.

 

The Senior Director, Finance and Administration reports to the Chief Executive Officer typically works at Cota’s 550 Queen Street East, Suite 201 office in Toronto, with remote work accommodation.

 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

The appropriate combination of the following education and experience:

  • Completion of a university degree in Business/Accounting or MBA
  • Accounting designation – CPA (CA, CGA, CMA)
  • Demonstrated experience as a Senior Director in a complex not-for-profit environment, with responsibility for finance, I.T. and procurement
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Other designations may be an asset – e.g. facilities management or CA-IT designations
  • Five (5) to ten (10) years of progressive, related (i.e. finance, facilities, IM/IT, general corporate services) management experience
  • Non-profit experience (through work or Board etc.) mandatory
  • Experience with OHRS MIS, Great Plains and FRX highly desirable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other technology
  • Knowledge and experience in project management an asset
