ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role, you will report to the Claims Operations Supervisor and provide administrative and organizational support to the department.  In this role, you will compile reports, agendas, correspondence, disseminate packets for claims review meetings, develop PowerPoint presentations, take meeting minutes and various administrative support responsibilities.  Additionally, you will assist in travel, coordinating meetings or trainings and expense reports reconciliation.  After a training period, this position will allow you to telecommute up to 4 days a week.

 

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Tracks state mandated Workers’ Compensation employee training hours and prepares annual certification for filing
  • Assists with annual required reports, including Workers’ Compensation Annual Reports of Inventory and State of Washington report of closed files
  • May arrange for vendors to provide in-house continuing education training for claims staff
  • Coordinates conference registrations, professional development and travel arrangements as requested
  • May assist with organizing and maintaining electronic filing systems
  • May prepare expense reports as requested
  • May assist with editing presentation materials and meeting packets
  • May update templates and department procedural manuals as requested
  • May create and disseminate surveys/polls as requested
  • Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

 

What Success Looks Like:

After the first six months, you will be emersed in the BETA culture, learning the structure of the Workers’ Compensation and Professional Liability teams and learning the duties and functions of the role.

 

After the first year, under minimal supervision you will be fully integrated into the Claims Department and supporting both the Workers’ Compensation and Professional Liability teams.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High school education or G.E.D. required; BA/BS degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an office, customer service and/or administrative support role required
  • Strong working knowledge of administrative procedures and systems
  • High organizational and time management skills
  • Good verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint and Word, required to perform core responsibilities
  • Intermediate data entry skills required to complete tasks and responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgment
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of internal records

 

 

Hiring base salary range: Up to $62,000/annually depending on experience

  • Note the amount listed is the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this position.
