Job: International Fundraising Manager / Rheolwr Codi Arian Rhyngwladol
Salary: £37,000FTE (pro rata) £22,500
2 year fixed term & Part Time job (21 hours per week)
21 hours per week across 3 days supported by flexible working
A real work/life blend opportunity to work your hours across our operating times between 7am-9pm . There must also be a willingness to travel or work flexibly in the role when needed to attend fundraising and work events as relevant to the role which could be out of usual operating hours. This isn’t expected to be a regular weekly requirement.
Place of work: Home based. We don’t set expectations on office working frequency although encourage it. We may ask you to attend Head Office now and again for a team meeting and we’re well set up for remote working.
Our Head Office is in Cardiff City Centre close to Cardiff Castle & the Principality Stadium.

The Job
Working with grant-givers, major donors, commercial, and corporate sources the job’s all about networking, building new relationships and fostering the ones we’ve got across the UK and beyond.
We’re looking to grow our income outside of Wales and so your patch and scope of opportunities is vast and the limitations untapped. This is a really exciting opportunity to make a splash, innovate, be a change maker and help people with connections to Wales to give back and make a real difference to people living with cancer.
If you’ve done this type of thing in the Third Sector already great but that isn’t a deal-breaker. The ingredients for success in this role are experience in business development, relationship management and income generation and delivery against targets.
In this job you can expect to be doing things like:
- Portfolio management and development of new and ongoing individual and corporate high net worth donors
- Preparing client cultivation plans, delivering against five figure income targets and reporting and presenting on your work, delivery and performance
- Interacting at high professional level with internal stakeholders such as our CEO, Leadership Team, Trustees, Appeal Board Committee about your work
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business to foster and support our one team working ethos to support your own work and develop other area’s work delivery
- Promoting donor and prospective client engagement opportunities with our work at every opportunity and attend networking and inspirational events
- Spotting an events management opportunity and project managing that through working with colleagues and volunteers
- Using your natural leadership and people engagement skills to inspire, steward, and motivate potential supporters to join US or continue their journey with US and demonstrate our company values through the way you go about performing
So, we could be a good match if your CV shows that you have:
- Experience in working among high net worth and corporate donor circles to build and foster effective and sustained working relationships
- The ability to display second to none donor care and customer service to a prestigious level
- Experience at scoping viable business opportunities and maintaining an income pipeline that demonstrates viable growth
- The experience and knowledge to raise funds and the events management side of things
- The ability to capture and present your work, solutions and ideas to your colleagues and key internal stakeholders verbally and through reports and presentations and be open to others’ ideas and feedback
- The tenacity, self-motivation and drive to perform in a remote role and work on your initiative whilst being mindful of the wider part you play in a team and seeing the bigger picture
