Full-Time Risk Manager
Job Description
JPI seeks mid-level Risk Manager who possesses skills and proven success managing comprehensive risk management processes for large, Government Information Technology (IT)-specific portfolios.
This is a remote opportunity and contingent upon contract award.
Responsibility:
- This role serves a large Government IT organization, including executive directors, directors, and managers.
- This role works in collaboration with other Program/Project managers, but independently lead the development, implementation, and management of enterprise risk management support to the office.
- Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Development, implementation, and validation of comprehensive Risk Management Plan.
- Meeting regularly with section directors, their teams, and project managers to identify new risks, recommend a risk response, and document risk mitigation plans as needed.
- Coordinate with client’s Enterprise Risk Management program to ensure client’s process aligns with enterprise standards.
- Developing and maintaining all templates and dashboards associated with the risk management process.
- Developing and delivering trainings and communications to support to client employees and contractors and help build a common understanding of risk.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in a relevant field (Business Management, Finance, Information Technology, etc.)
- Five (5) years of experience implementing, managing, and continuously improving risk management processes in support of Government IT portfolios/projects.
- Experience working across multiple stakeholder groups to achieve IT goals and objectives and delivering successfully on product requirements.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies.
- Experience reviewing deliverables to deliver high-quality results and work products.
- Direct client management within a complex, highly technical government IT organization with multiple service leads/points-of-contact, operating against multiple strategic business objectives.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including technical writing/editorial experience, and senior executive leadership engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and expertise with government financial regulators (e.g., CFPB, SEC, FFIEC, FDIC, OCC, FRB, and NCUA) and/or financial services organizations (Banks, Credit Unions, etc.)
- Industry standard project management certification(s) such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or Scrum Master
- Industry standard risk management certification(s) such as PMI’s Risk Management
Professional (PMI-RMP) or RIMS Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMSCRMP)Team leadership / task management experience
- Existing Clearance or Public Trust
