Researcher 

Salary: £25-£30k per annum

Full time (37.5 hrs per week) flexible working opportunities will be considered

Location: Full time. Hybrid working and flexible hours from home and our Leeds city centre studio. This is not a fully remote role.

 We are expanding our Behavioural Insights team and we’re seeking a Researcher. This new role will complement our existing team of Psychologists and Behavioural Scientists and work alongside our wider team of campaigners, creatives and community engagers. We’re looking for an individual who can do something great with their talent, who can create healthier and happier communities; one person, one campaign at a time.

You will have  proven experience in a professional research environment planning, managing and delivering high quality research. Have an undergraduate degree in psychology, public health, economics, geography, or similar, with core modules in research methods and qualitative and quantitative analyses. 

To succeed in this role you will have  experience responding to client and audience needs and understanding how to add most value to clients and an organisation like Magpie. A proven ability to deliver a range of research activities including literature reviews, participant recruitment, fieldwork, data analysis and report writing. Training and/or experience in quantitative and/or qualitative analyses. Proven experience of working with data analysis tools such as SPSS or R.

 A good grasp of relationship development, with the ability to exercise sound judgement, sensitivity and political awareness when working with multiple stakeholders. Proven ability to work alongside other researchers, for example  academics, behavioural scientists and insight professionals.
