We have an exciting new opportunity within our Student Service team and are currently looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dedicated Safeguarding Manager. We are therefore seeking a Safeguarding Manager to work as part of the Safeguarding team to promote a whole College approach to enhancing safeguarding and wellbeing of students and their emotional health and wellbeing.
We wish to appoint an experienced safeguarding professional to this new role, to manage and oversee the work of our Student Advisers and to ensure the delivery of an effective and robust safeguarding service.
You will be learner-centred, with a sound understanding of the current issues that are faced by and affecting young people, with practical experience of managing high level safeguarding casework.
Your responsibilities will include supporting vulnerable students and adults, to assist in identifying needs, coordinating, support or referral and monitoring the impact of interventions and to ensure students have timely access to effective mental health support when needed.
The successful candidate will maintain accurate, confidential and up to date records of student information and of interventions on all cases of safeguarding and mental health concerns and will be expected to keep informed of current legislation, statutory and other guidance in relation to safeguarding, prevent, child and adult protection, cascading information accurately.
Your career history should demonstrate significant impact over time in safeguarding children and young people. Ideally, you will have experience of managing a team where safeguarding is/ has been the main focus of your role.
