Full-Time Volunteer Coordinator

This position will focus on recruiting, training, and retaining a robust network of volunteers who will lead activities such as CrossFit, yoga, kickboxing, book clubs, art, dance, and music. The ideal candidate will be extremely detail-oriented, comfortable with public speaking, and an excellent verbal and written communicator. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit motivated, mission-driven volunteers with a diverse array of backgrounds and skillsets
- Onboard volunteers and facilitate their programs and passions
- Continue to train, lead, encourage, and grow volunteers in their endeavors
- Proactively strategize and implement better systems and structures for working with volunteers in the area
- Collaborate with the Bay Area program manager and remotely with the larger California-based team to implement volunteer and program best practices
- Work independently with primarily remote supervision
- Commute regularly for events and outreach
- Work evening and weekend hours as needed
- Complete other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of relevant work or volunteer experience (sales, volunteer engagement, event planning/execution, etc.)
- Organizational and time management skills, as well as adaptability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable utilizing technology and leveraging data to gain insight on program efficiency and to guide the decision making process
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
- A self-starter mindset, humility, and integrity
PREFERENCES

- Experience with technology such as Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Asana, Canva, etc.
- Background in sales
- Local knowledge and connections within San Francisco
- Personal transportation available
BENEFITS AND SALARY
- $62,000-$70,000 annually
- 403(b) retirement plan with 4% match
