Role overview:
You will lead on Place based projects within the investment team, specialising in the development and financing of economic development opportunities across the Liverpool City Region. Using commercial best practice, you will develop projects to deliver economic growth, social and environmental impact and financial returns, where possible. This may involve supporting a mixed-use town centre regeneration programme, financing lab space for innovation spin outs, gap funding a Grade A office building or facilitating site assembly and remediation for commercial development.
Key role and responsibilities:
- Lead and manage deal teams to develop and finance priority economic development projects into delivery
- Structure and negotiate legal documentation
- Oversee the financial and operational performance of projects
- Represent the Combined Authority with key stakeholders and sponsors
- Support team operations and strategy as part of the team’s shared management team
Required skills and knowledge:
- Degree or equivalent
- Membership of a recognised and relevant professional body, e.g. RICS, MRTPI, ICAEW
- Significant experience of the development and investment of property projects
- Experience of leading project or deal teams
- Experience of building stakeholder relationships
- A commitment to the LCR and an understanding of its stakeholders
- An ability to demonstrate our core values, including a commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
- Experience of contributing to a high-performance culture
