£30,000 – £43,000 per annum including technical allowance
37 hours per week
The working pattern is 7.5 hours per day Monday – Thursday and 7 hours on Fridays.
52 weeks per annum
Abingdon Campus/ Abingdon Campus with some remote working

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer for our dynamic Engineering provision to delivery outstanding lessons for Engineering both onsite and in the workplace.
The college aims to help young people to fast track their career and help them to get to the next level giving them a head start and you can be part of their journey and make a real difference.

Engineering Lecturer (Mechanical) to deliver practical and theoretical delivery on our L1-L3 programmes in Mechanical Engineering. This will include delivery on our new T level programme where our L3 learners learn through project-based learning. This post will be delivering to Full Time Learners, Apprentices and Adult Learners on our Abingdon campus.
Apprenticeship Lecturer, this post is to deliver, coach and assess learners on their apprenticeship programmes.
The post holder must hold relevant qualifications and experience to be able to deliver and assess up to and including L4 Engineering. This post will include flexible delivery models of day release apprentices mainly based at our Abingdon Campus but assessment will take place at Apprentices workplace.
These posts are an ideal position for an Engineer looking to get into teaching or an experienced lecturer looking to further widen their skillset.
You will be expected to strive to maintain good or outstanding success rates in all areas, using innovation within your teaching and assessing, utilising e-learning opportunities where appropriate.
You should be a skilled communicator and have excellent organisational skills. You should be qualified to at least level 4 or equivalent and hold or be willing to work towards a recognised teaching and or assessor qualification.
Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
This role may be eligible for the ‘Taking Teaching Further (TTF)’ programme, which supports professionals as they move into teaching in the further education sector. Support from the TTF programme can include an initial reduction in teaching workload and enrolment onto teacher training.
