Summary of the Mechanical Engineer Graduate role
As the Mechanical Engineer Graduate, you will be assisting Production in achieving their business targets, as well as coordinating site-wide engineering activities and providing technical assistance on all engineering issues related to equipment, systems and processes.
Based at our site in Ringaskiddy, Ireland and reporting to the Senior Plant Engineer, you will work be working Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week on an 11-month fixed term contract (FTC).
Your responsibilities
Escalating any activities that potentially compromise the independence of the quality organisation or the quality of the product.
Maintaining awareness and complying with current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), environmental and safety requirements.
Analysing new technology for optimisation of plant and processes.
Training engineering and operation personnel on discipline related issues and assigned new or modified equipment/systems.
Performing roles and implement requirements as outlined in the NRL Environmental Management Manual as appropriate to this position.

Requirements for the role
Must hold a BEng Hons in Mechanical Engineering.
Ideally has good technical knowledge and skills.
Understands mechanical engineering principles.
Analytical and problem-solving skills are preferred; to identify any issues and develop solutions.
Should be able to effectively work as part of a team and has the ability to communicate issues where necessary.
