Position Details:
- This position is full-time, 1.0FTE, 1st shift
- Location: US: WI: MENOMONEE FALLS at our FROEDTERT MEN FALLS HOSPITAL facility. This job is ON – SITE.
Job Summary:
Responsible for supervising and coordinating the day-to day- functioning of the Cath/EP Interventional Radiology Department at Community Memorial and St. Joseph’s Hospital. The Cath/EP/ IR Manager is an experienced Critical Care or Interventional nurse, with knowledge of and a commitment to care of Cath/EP/IR patients. This individual applies principles of leadership and human relations in the overall coordination and supervision of patient care and personnel in the Cath/EP/ IR department. This position may be delegated certain responsibilities in the absence of the Network Director of Heart and Vascular Services. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three to five years of clinical experience in Interventional Radiology, or Cardiac/EP Labs. Supervisory and/or education experience in IR is preferred.
- Degree in Nursing (Baccalaureate or Graduate) is required.
- Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or a Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact). American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required within 90 days of hire.
Special Skills Description:
- Demonstration of Leadership activities in previous roles.
- Ability to type on a keyboard and learn the use of different computer programs.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with medical staff, nurse managers, IR staff, and other hospital departments.
- Analytical skill necessary to observe nursing practices to assure adherence to policy.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to 80% of worked time.
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
