Department: Sales

Status: Exempt, Full-Time

Travel Requirements: 50%

Location: Tukwila, WA

Pay Range: $150,000 – $200,000

Paid time off includes a progressive PTO program. After 90 days of service, 9 days of PTO which may be carried over to next service year. At anniversary date, 16 PTO days are given. PTO is accrued on a schedule of one additional day per year up to five years, thereafter, one additional day for every two years, to a maximum PTO accrual of 26 days after 16 years of service. Maximum PTO carryover to the following year is current year PTO accrual.

As a leading global manufacturer and supplier of aerospace composite repair equipment, we provide a full range of hot bonders, accessories, technical and training services, and materials for the repair of composite structures.

We specialize in working with Aircraft Manufacturers (OEMs), Defense Organizations, Commercial Airlines, and Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities by providing them with the expertise and tools to repair composite flight controls and other main aircraft parts. Our experience and knowledge allows us to continuously provide innovate solutions for the advancement of composite repair technology.

About the Position

We are looking for a Vice President of Sales and Marketing to develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy that aligns with our company goals and objectives. This person will direct all activities within the sales and marketing departments, working closely with departmental managers and our Executive Team.

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies that align with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Develop, manage, and monitor sales and marketing budgets in coordination with the Executive Team.
  • Lead and manage the sales and marketing teams to achieve revenue targets and increase market share.
  • Oversee development and production of sales proposals, long term agreements, company presentations, marketing collateral, and external communication.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the aerospace industry, including developing relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Analyze competitive trends and activity in the marketplace and recommend adaptive measures to maintain a lead position.
  • Create and deliver sales and marketing presentations to customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and finance, to ensure product and service offerings meet customer needs.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
  • Recommend new products and services, or enhancements to existing products and service to provide the highest quality and value-added solutions to meet the needs of customers.
  • Lead the development of company pricing policies to support objectives for growth, market share, and profitability.
  • Direct market channel development, maintain and establish related contracts.
  • Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve sales and marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Develop, communicate and execute marketing and sales plans with subsidiaries.
  • Generate consistent messaging related to Heatcon’s outbound marketing strategy, branding and reliability.
  • Analyze, identify and present on potential business development opportunities.
  • Participate in monthly Corporate Review Meetings.
  • Serve as Advisor to Board of Directors during scheduled quarterly meetings.
  • Submit monthly management status reports to President.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in marketing, business or a related field.
  • Ten (10) years of related experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to reach goals.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic decisions.
  • Proficient with a personal computer and office applications including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, CRM, and quoting/order processing.
  • Experience working as a supplier to the aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) industry.
  • Basic familiarity with composite material curing/processing technologies.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand and sit for prolonged periods, balance, speak clearly and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. The employee is regularly required to use fingers, hands and arms to manipulate and shuffle documents, use writing instruments, and type on a keyboard. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
