PURPOSE:

The Commercial Analyst is responsible for analyzing and reporting on the following: revenue projections, pipeline metrics, sales personnel performance, close rate projections, etc. Along with key metric reporting, the Commercial Analyst will be responsible for working with the sales team to ensure pipeline hygiene (estimates) to ensure alignment with company targets. The overall goal of the Commercial Analyst is to provide accuracy and visibility into key revenue and performance metrics to ensure the sales organization is operating efficiently and effectively.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Integrate, analyze & evaluate sales performance based on predetermined metrics.
  • Review and analyze commercially related data associated with the sales pipeline, revenue forecasting, revenue-reporting, sales productivity and goal attainment.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc analysis to Finance and sales organization (Lead Generation, Employer Sales, Payer Sales, Account Management and Partnerships) regarding sales progress.
  • Analyze company performance against historical, budgeted, and forecasted results.
  • Analyze sales, B2B marketing and account management data using Salesforce, PowerBI, and other systems as required.
  • Assist in report and dashboard management, basic troubleshooting, and other tasks required.
  • Contribute to developing business controls, policies, procedures, and best practices to maximize sales performance.
  • Maintain accurate client and pipeline data throughout CRM and different systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, product and operations.
  • Assist with sales quota management, and departmental budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ensure everyday tasks are aligned with the company’s strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:      Bachelor’s degree required in a business-related field preferred

Experience:    

  • One to three years of experience in sales operations, creating reports, and creating dashboards.
  • Strong excel skills with a strong understanding of Salesforce, or other CRM applications and email marketing strategies.
