Salary range: £37,246 – £40,112
Type of contract: Permanent
Location: London, Hybrid
Working hours: 35 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced event professional to join our team. The RCOG Events Team organises over 100 events a year for medical professionals in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology.
We are responsible for all aspects of conference arrangements for face-to-face, virtual and hybrid events including programme and speakers, delegate management and event logistics. Since 2020, virtual events continue to form the core of our event programme along with some in-person practical courses and hybrid events.
Responsibilities:
As one of two Event Managers, you will have the following responsibilities.
To work with the Head of Events developing the activities of the Events Team and taking the lead on procedures and processes
To have responsibility for delivery of events, both face-to-face and virtually
To assist with the day-to-day management of the Events Team
To ensure a high standard of customer service to all event stakeholders, dealing with high level discussions and escalated issues
To provide guidance and support to other departments on event best practice across all formats
To deputise for the Head of Events when requested or when they are unavailable
About you
This position will suit an experienced events professional who is looking to join a friendly, hardworking team running events to support our members.
Requirements:
- Significant experience of conference or events management
- Experience of producing and managing budgets
- Experience of implementing and working on cross-team projects
- Experience of virtual event delivery
- Experience of development process guidance and training peers/team members
