We are looking for reliable and proactive Night Support Workers to join our friendly and dynamic staff teams at the Crawley Foyer and the Horsham Y Centre. These services provide supported accommodation for 40-50 young people aged 16 to 25.

Our Night Support Workers ensure that our transitional properties are safe, secure, and welcoming through the night. You will assist in the provision of supported housing services which support young people to articulate and achieve their aspirations and ambitions and to acquire the skills they need to live independent lives. You will also provide a responsive and supportive service to the residents.

In this role, you will conduct regular and routine checks of our supported housing projects for young people, including communal areas, gardens, and the exterior of properties. You will be responsible for upkeeping and monitoring handovers including recording all incidents and safeguarding and informing the team appropriately. It is essential that you hold a current driving license.

Your expected working pattern is four nights on and four nights off. Shift start times are variable from service to service.

We are recruiting Night Support Workers who are experienced in and/or passionate about working directly with young people aged 16-25. The successful applicants will be able to engage and relate well to this age group and will have a good understanding of the key risks, challenges, and opportunities for young people. You will be a well-rounded coach who can both challenge and support when appropriate. You will be able to inspire, enhance learning, provoke thoughtful reflection whilst working proactively with young people to develop their talents.

We are looking for confident, capable communicators with the ability to successfully manage challenging situations whilst remaining calm and solution focused. You will be proactive in your thinking, with an ability to manage lots of tasks at the same time and keep appropriate records. You will also be motivated and resilient, being able to use a range of methods for persuasion and achieving positive results with young people.
