Job Description

£24.97 – £32.35 per hour, dependent on level of teaching qualification   

Various hours per week  

The working pattern is TBC  

Various weeks per annum  

Various Campuses  

Fixed term 30th September 2023  

Applications are invited for enthusiastic and experienced teachers to teach on our successful English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) programme for adult learners.    

We deliver at various locations in Oxfordshire, including Bicester, Abingdon, Witney and Oxford City and are keen to recruit new staff in order for us to reach these wider areas of our community.   

This position will suit a candidate who has up-to-date, extensive experience of teaching from Complete Beginner; Entry 1 – Level 1 City & Guilds ESOL Skills for Life accredited awards and /or Level 1 and 2 Functional Skills. In addition to teaching, this post requires the ability to support ESOL learners at each stage of the learning journey, e.g., learner skills assessment/tracking, and exam assessment.  

Although a teaching qualification is an advantage, training opportunities exist within the College and we can support you in gaining your Award in Education and Training Level 3 Qualification (AET), within your first year of joining the college.
