Internship Online Education Coordinator

Job Description

About The Role: The Online Education Coordinator is responsible for increasing accessibility of in-house and external online educational and training content to our growing, geographically dispersed audience of LGBTQIA+ and other doubly marginalized refugees.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the research and vetting of LMS options for our online leadership training program, which up to now has been delivered only synchronously via Zoom.
  • Lead the migration of course material to the new LMS, ensuring functionality, ease of use, and accessibility by users.
  • Train students and staff on how to use the LMS and provide individual assistance when needed. 
  • Help TDA staff optimize use of the LMS and other integrated technology to achieve program goals. 
  • Assist Director of Operations with student survey and documentation integration and data collection as needed
  • Provide thoughtful leadership and collaboration that is inclusive, transparent, and empowering in a manner that supports and guides the organization, its team and community members.
  • Represent Safe Place International at virtual and in-person events as needed.
  • Utilize platforms adopted by SPI (e.g. Google Suite, Slack)
  • Help build a workplace culture that is anti-racist, inclusive, equitable, trauma-informed, and team member-centric.
  • Other duties as assigned by the SPI Leadership Team.What Else You Should Know:

    This role is a remote volunteer position. There is no fixed location requirement, but the Online Education Coordinator must be available to meet and collaborate with team members located primarily in North America, Europe, and Africa.
