In addition to base compensation, the Sales Manager is eligible for commission and a monthly car allowance of $600 (taxable). Benefits eligibility is after 30 days.
What the Ideal Candidate will do:
The Regional Sales Manager will engage in sales activities for the Benz Tooling, machinery tooling business unit of Schenck USA.
- Provide solutions and services in the metalworking machinery, metal composites, and applications.
- Identify and develop new customers, in combination of setting up and working with a dealer and distributor network but also sell to OEMs directly.
- Assist with planning, organizing and travel to trade shows and open houses.
- Assure achievement of margin goals and forecasted sales for the region
- Independent self-starter who will focus on business development in the Northeast, United States.
- Travel up to 50% of the time, including some international travel.
- This position is regional – From Maine to Maryland. The ideal candidate lives in Northeast area.
What We Look For:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical/industrial discipline preferred.
- High degree of technical competency in metalworking machinery and applications, including CNC manufacturing equipment is required. Cutting tool or metal machine tool sales are a plus.
- Strong application knowledge, which includes knowledge of tooling for Lathes and Vertical Machine Centers.
- 5+ years of sales and marketing of Machine Tool Sales, CNC Machinery Accessories, or High-End Cutting Tools; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in business development.
- Ability to read & understand CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, strategic thinking and planning skills.
- Strong math and technical skills.
Base Pay: $75,000.00 / Year
Other Compensation: Commission, $600 monthly (taxable) car allowance
