Job Role: Bike Workshops General Manager
Salary: £26,500 increasing to £27,000 after 6 months of employment
Hours: 37.5/week
Contract type: Permanent
Location: Bath and Trowbridge (there is a requirement to spend time at Bath and Trowbridge bike workshops)
- The Role
The successful General Manager will provide effective leadership to the Julian House Bike Workshops, ensuring the overall success of each shop.
- Responsibilities include:
- Managing the bike workshops to achieve maximum sales and turnover growth through a range of sales and marketing activities including social media, special offers etc
- Managing and motivating the teams in each location to provide excellent customer service, increased sales and ensure maximum efficiency
- Ensuring all areas of the shops are maintained to a high standard including consistently organising the shop floors to look attractive with the maximum number of products and a varied range offered
- Carrying out stock takes, managing and securing stock levels, working closely with the Procurement Manager to ensure ordering for the workshop is effective and responsive to faulty / damaged / incorrect deliveries
- Working with the Social Enterprise Manager in the analysis of sales figures and forecasting future sales
Qualifications / Requirements: - Experience managing teams
- Retail experience, preferably in a Bike mechanic type environment
- Numerate and comfortable with preparing and analysing sales
- Good understanding of cycle mechanics, servicing and repair
