Mary McDowell Friends School (MMFS) invites applications for the position of Lower School Associate Teacher beginning in August 2023.
As a teacher at MMFS, you will support the mission of the school by overseeing the safety and well-being of the students in advisory, content area classes, core classrooms, and homeroom classes. You will monitor and stimulate the educational and social-emotional growth within the framework of the school’s mission by designing a challenging, creative and developmentally appropriate curriculum to teach students with learning disabilities. You will integrate the Quaker beliefs, testimonies and practice in all your work with students, colleagues, families, and professionals and bring your best self to work so that you may bring out the best in others.
Requirements
BA in education or related field. Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance and problem-solving and to achieve results. Willingness to learn and adapt to a new environment required.
