The Position
Alaska Dance Theatre (ADT) seeks an experienced nonprofit leader with a passion for nurturing artistic growth and creative expression to serve as its executive director. The executive director will be a relationship-builder inside and outside of the organization; nurturing and developing the ADT team’s knowledge and abilities, maximizing untapped funding opportunities, deepening partnerships, and engaging broader participation for impact. The ideal candidate will have a collaborative and approachable leadership style, experience as a mentor and developer of people, and a proven track record of connecting with partners to achieve greater impact.

As Alaska’s premier 501(c)(3) nonprofit dance organization, Alaska Dance Theatre has dedicated itself to providing quality dance education and performance for more than four decades. Guided by its core values of artistry, dance for all, community, joy, and respect, ADT prides itself not only on bringing dance into the community, but also nurturing a community of dance.
Compensation
The salary range is $78,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Alaska Dance Theatre provides the following benefits: medical insurance, seven weeks paid time off, nine holidays, and employee discounts of ADT classes.
