Full-Time Chief of Finance
Job Description
Summary:
Join Rhode Island’s first child-serving nonprofit agency, providing services for children and families in need for 184 years as a member of the leadership team in the Chief of Finance role. We are seeking an individual who is committed to our mission, with a strong sense of fiscal accountability looking for their next challenge. The Chief is responsible for the many financial aspects of the agency and the Information, Facility, and transactional Human Resource functions.
· Responsible for planning, implementing, and operationalizing all business functions, including Information, Facility, and transactional HR functions.
· Development of financial strategy to support operational priorities.
· Strategically enhance financial performance & business opportunities.
· Develop and monitor systems to protect and grow agency assets.
· Evaluate and advise on new programs, services, strategies, and actions.
· Operationally and strategically work effectively with peer leaders on agency-wide initiatives.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree in Business Administration or related field and/or CPA preferred.
· Operational leadership experience required.
· 10 years previous accounting and supervisory/leadership experience required.
· Proven success with executing strategic visions.
· The ability to collaborate with team leaders and external partners to find solutions in the best interest of the agency.
· Must be detail oriented and have strong communication skills.
· Previous experience managing fiscal operations is required.
· Proven ability to interact with members of the community representing diverse backgrounds and interests is required.
· Successful candidates will be required to meet our pre-employment background screening requirements.
