Full-Time Alcohol Recovery Practitioner (Peripatetic)
Job Description
Phoenix Futures Essex ARC have a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to gain experience working in psychosocial treatment for substance use as an Alcohol Recovery Practitioner.
The Role
Based in Harlow and Basildon areas, working Monday to Friday, 9 – 5, you’ll be providing psychosocial interventions to adults with varying degrees of problematic alcohol consumption.
Your day to day is varied, from planning and developing group session’s, assessing needs and developing recovery plans for our service users. The role also has opportunity for collaboration and joint partnership working and working with other networks in the local community. You will be expected to over areas of the County that are more rural and develop satellites for service users who find it difficult to come to our centres.

We are now seeking a practitioner to join our team in Chelmsford, Essex.

About You
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- Passionate and enthusiastic about making a real difference to the lives of people we support
- Experience of working as part of a team and supporting your colleagues
- Able to evidence excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Evidence of managing a busy caseload and excellent organisational skills.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word and familiar with relevant database management systems
- Relevant experience of work in the field of problematic substance use, mental health or another comparable field.
